See model S2120 reviews-- it's excellent!, October 23, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Miele S2121 Olympus Lotus White Canister Vacuum (Kitchen) Amazon vendors are selling both models 2121 and 2120. I contacted Miele twice and asked what was new in the 2121, and they said, "Nothing except the logo position" and "Nothing except the shade of white." That's why there are no special spec sheets for the 2121.
I just read all the five star reviews for the 2120 and completely agree with all of them. I will add two things. I wonder if the motorized carpet attachments that come with most other canisters (but not this one) are a cheap compensation for motors/designs with poor suction. When those Hoover or Eureka "vibracleaner" attachments (or whatever they're called) are broken (which is most of the time) you can't lift much dirt from a medium pile rug. This vacuum doesn't include one and doesn't seem to need one. The stronger suction and the well-designed basic carpet and floor tool do a far better job on my oriental rugs.

I did a lot of survey on this Miele S2121 Olympus model. As most people said, it is the best floor vacuum I can find in market. It did excellent job at floor and rugs. Also it works good at my stairs. I also purchase an universal brush also it not perfect but it help me work fast in large dusting area. I found that the default crevice is too short to use in some area. So I ordered the 20 foot crevice I believe it will be quite useful.
The only thing is the cord suppose to be longer than S2120 about 29ft long but I could not get it out for that lenghth? I might call the sales to ask that question.
Over all, I am very happy to have this vacuum together with my Dyson upright for carpet area, my cleanning jobs are much easier.

I have spent ~500.00 in the past 5 years for canister vacuum cleaners (different brands). All of them lost their wheels, motors stopped working or fans broke down. I was looking for a basic well made vacuum cleaner to clean wood floors and a few area rugs. This is it. I love the 6 power adjustments depending on what you're vacuuming, and the fact that it rolls so smoothly and literally follows you...no more yanking or carrying the canister b/c one wheel breaks and pops off. Had no need for the high end $$$$ Miele b/c I have floors and a couple of area rugs. This one was reasonably price. All of the Miele's have 300-1200W power. Looking forward to years of use! Cord length not an issue-live in a 4 bedroom 1920's house and plug in once on each floor and pretty much can reach all of the areas. I might have to move the plug once-but not a big deal. Very easy to put together right out of the box. And extremely quiet!!
