The best vacuum I've owned, period!, October 9, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Miele S2120 Delphi Canister Vacuum Cleaner w/ SEB-217-3 Powerhead! (Kitchen) I needed a new vacuum and really wanted to try a canister after owning only uprights. So I started reading reviews and specs for a few days and I found myself going back to the Miele all the time. Well the time came to order and even though it was not cheap, I went for it and can't be happier.
This thing exudes quality through and through, and is very versatile. First off the selectable motor speed is awesome and I really wouldn't but another vacuum without it. It's so handy when I'm vacuuming things like curtains or furniture. You're not damaging the fabric and fighting the suction the whole time. Secondly the swiveling power head is easy to use and having an on/off switch for the beater bar is great. Also the other attachments sit right on the canister for when you need them.
And last, this vacuum uses bags and after using it I like them. I have always had bagless models in the past and the bags are much better. When the indicator shows that it's time, you just remove the... Read more

(Kitchen) I've never had a good vacuum. Well, a grandmother's cast-off electrolux, but that doesn't really count. It's life changing. I've spent a lifetime hating this household chore. I'm in a new house with vast hardwood and tile floors, and a few area rugs. And up in the mountains where tracked dirt and blown-in dust are real issues. Really, this little vac is life changing! It's light, quiet, and incredibly powerful. It does a fantastic job on hardwood and tile, and cleans my rugs well and easily. Switching to the tools for upholstery, corners, windowsills and stairs is quick and easy. So easy to get around furniture and into corners. I'm impressed with all of the little convenience features...adjustable length wand, suction control at your fingertips, retractable cord, hook for the wand when you need a break. (Kitchen) I returned the Olympus S2120 model because the floor tool was inadequate on any surface, and, in fact, seemed to scratch the floors. The Capri S2121 is basically the same vac, but comes with two good floor tools, the parquet tool which is gentle on hard surfaces like wood, laminate, concrete, and the turbo brush which will not just suck on, but beat a low pile rug. Although the turbo brush isn't power driven, and a bit of a tug to push/pull, my 3200sf home is 95% hardwood so I'm fine to push/tug on my infrequent area rugs. For another $100, I'm now happy with my purchase and happy to be a part of the Miele family. I gotta tell Miele, however, that their customer service reps REALLY need training. You will get a different story/suggestion depending on who you get, and they do not seem knowledgable about their product line. Also, some sound downright depressed. Anyway, get 'em trained, and I love your vac!
