64 of 65 people found the following review helpful More Is Better!, March 17, 2011 By george s roberts (Las Vegas, NV, US) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: EL1030A Ergorapido Ion Bagless Cordless Stick and Hand Vac (Kitchen) This is an 18 Volt model, and has a lot more suction power than the previous one I owned. My last one served me well for many years before the rechargeable battery died. When I went online I discovered that they come in various voltages, so I got this one. I think the additional expense is well worth it. This model comes with a couple of tools, a brush and a crevasse tool, which snap into the charging base. Otherwise, the design is almost identical to the Pronto I used to have. Just be aware that they look alike, but that there are several different voltage models out there. That accounts for the wide range of prices among Electrolux stick vacuums.
50 of 50 people found the following review helpful Ergorapido vs. Linx, December 6, 2011 By mark t (Los Angeles) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: EL1030A Ergorapido Ion Bagless Cordless Stick and Hand Vac (Kitchen) I bought this along with the Hoover Linx stick to compare. Between the two, they both have their advantages and disadvantages, but as an overall stick vac, the Linx probably wins out.
Ergorapido Ion
PROS
+Ultra! maneuverable on hardwood floors (A dream on hardwood floors)
+Lightweight
+Headlight on vacuum head
+2-in-1 stick and hand vac design
+Decent suction
+Appearance
CONS
-Really! poor maneuverability on carpet floors (Almost immovable on thicker carpets)
-Unreplacable battery (Only a 2 year warranty and no plans for replacement)
-Doesn't stand up on it's own
-Can't turn off brush mode
Hoover Linx
PROS
+Better suction
+Interchangable/Replaceable Battery
+Can switch brush mode on or off
+Good on hardwood floors AND carpets
+Able to stand up on it's own
CONS
-Less maneuverable/Clunkier (tires my hand out more than Ergorapido)
-A little bit... Read more

I made it my mission over the years to find a great stick vac, but I needed something with a 2-in-1 feature so I could use a hand vac also. I have previously been the owner of the Eureka Boss, a Shark 2-in-1, and a Dirt Devil Accucharge. The latter vacuum couldn't even get me through the one year warranty without the battery dying on me. I was researching this and the Dyson equivalent [I own the Dyson Animal], but thought I would give this a try given the reviews and being a smidge less.
I am extremely satisfied. The charge is long lasting, the suction is exceptional. It's so convenient, effortless and feels sturdy.
