I bought this vacuum from a different site. While it is OK on bare floors it is very hard to use on rugs if you are using the rug brush mode. I hope you have muscles and a strong back. Then comes the cleanup. You have to wash it each time you use it. Rinse the filter, the filter cover, the bagless unit and then put it back together so do not plan on vacuuming again for about 48 hours because that is how long it takes for the whole thing to dry. It is a pain in the butt. Next time I am going back to a Bissel or the new Dyson canister. The cleanup is easier and the power of the unit is so much better. My assumtion is that this site and the other site gave it high ratings because these were not people who cleaned daily. Or, who had bare floors and no carpet.

The vacuum works well on both carpet and hard wood floors. Suction is strong. Very easy to assemble. It is very light weight. It works perfectly vacuuming the stairs. I enjoy the fact that the cord is stored inside the vacuum nothing to wrap up when I am done. I would recommend.
