Pretty Good, June 7, 2012 This review is from: BISSELL Healthy Home Upright Bagless Vacuum, 16N5F, Green (Misc.) I've got this vacuum a month ago after my old one went bye-bye after we moved to a new home.
I is preatty heavy but it does a good job. So far the suction is great, and my personal favorite feature is: the brush turns off when the vacuum is upright, so no carpet burns, also the option to turn the brush off as you please. The little inconvenince was that the angle where the trash drops in the canister is sharp, so if you have hairy pets this might be a problem but just empty it as frequent possible for a long lasting life of your vacuum.

The brush on this vacuum is powerful. My wife was trying it out when she said that the vacuum felt like it was pulling itself across the carpet. The main suction is also very strong. It did a great job cleaning up the carpet and the hardwood floor. It has a nice handle in the front for carrying and a very long cord.
I had a problem with the brushing attachment on the telescoping pole. It uses suction to spin the brush, and it spins up fine but as soon as it contacts anything it stops rendering it useless. Nothing appear to be cracked or missing in the attachment. I think there may be some air escaping out of the telescoping pole. I didn't have this issue with the brushing attachment for the the BISSELL 58F83 Rewind SmartClean, Blue model.

Like most other Bissell products, the vacuum arrives with the handle separated. The handle is attached by the user via two supplied long screws. I found that the handle portion did not perfectly align with the base portion, and the screws didn't seem to fit very well. Despite my misgivings, during usage the handle felt very secure. Likewise, the cord holding bracket was wobbly despite attachment using the provided short screws. However during operation, the bracket held the power cord without problems. I was further annoyed that the sticker on the base of the vacuum cleaner could not be cleanly removed.
Thoughtfully, the Bissell comes with a two stage button operation. The first is the main power button, and allows the vacuum to be used with delicate rugs.
