I purchased this vacuum along with the Sanitaire 670 upright model. The upright has a belt which drives the roller brush, but this canister vacuum does NOT have a roller brush or a belt so I'm confused by a previous reviewers comments. The wide floor attachment is adjustable and glides nicely over my laminate floors. I wouldn't dream of using it on the fringed area of any rugs because the suction is extremely powerful - even when you open the tab to lower the suction. It's extremely lightweight, the attachments are well made, the wand extends a long way, the hose seems a bit flimsy, but that's my only complaint. Bags are a breeze to change and reasonbly priced. Haven't changed the filter yet, so I can't coment on that point, but otherwise, as someone with 2 Saint Bernards who love furring up my car, I couldn't be more pleased.

This is a great vacuum. Replaces my old one my sister stole from me. Convenient, works well with good suction. Came as promised in a very timely manner.

Although I did not purchase this from Amazon I wanted to leave a review since I saw that not many people had reviewed it. This is a great vacuum. If it had one of those beater heads for carpets it would be the perfect vacuum. The suction is strong and powerful. It sucks up anything which can be a problem if you drop say your keys on the floor. I wish their carpet attachment had more brushes for pet hair. It has a nifty way to store the narrow nozzle attachment up into the handle. I forget where it is stored it is so out of the way. The rest of the smaller ones have a "holster" that attaches to the wand. I find I bump into things and the fall off so I just leave them in the closet until needed.
If it ever breaks I would buy another one. I love the Sanitaire line because they are quality products.
Please develop a beater head for this unit!
