Former Dyson Stowaway convert!, December 14, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Miele Delphi S2120 Canister Vacuum Cleaner with SEB217-3 Powerhead (Kitchen) Bought this item in Sept. 2011, have given it a few months' use in order to write an accurate review. Have been a Dyson fan for about 10 years or so, but after owning this German-manufactured Miele, I'll never go back to Dyson.
This Miele is so much more quiet, it's hard to believe. Great cleaning power, but not much more noise than a hand-held hair dryer. One of the things I disliked about the Dyson Stowaway canister was the noise... and we have a large Lab-mix dog that was scared to death of it. Just bringing the Stowaway into the room would cause him to bolt, before it was even plugged in. With the Miele, he'll actually remain in the same room, and our other two dogs aren't bothered at all by the vacuum cleaner.
The Miele is also much more manueverable than the Stowaway... the powerhead is significantly lighter and easier to navigate. The three small pivot-casters on the bottom of the canister also allow it to easily follow the operator around the room,... Read more
